ACCC forces Mwave.com.au to changes warranty, refund, shipping policies

Corporate watchdog, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)  has forced Sydney- based online computer parts and accessories retailer, Esel Pty Ltd trading as MWave.com.au, to change its warranty, refund and shipping policies.
And it has been forced to invite anyone who bought anything from Mwave after 1 July 2007 to make warranty claims.
At least 25,000 Mwave.com.au

MasterCard re-signs with TNS for MiGS ecommerce payments gateway

Australian developed software will continue to power MasterCard’s ecommerce payments across the Asia-Pacific region.

Known as the MasterCard Internet Gateway service (MiGS), the software was originally developed in Brisbane by software engineers working for what was then known as Dialect Payment Technologies.

Passwords no longer compulsory for Verified by Visa card security.

Australia’s credit unions and building societies have got the jump on the big banks with a new version of the Verified by Visa (VbyV) card security scheme for online shopping.
In the new version  being rolled out to credit unions, Visa card holders will no longer have to get an extra password for online shopping.
