ANZ blames Telstra, apologizes for system crash hitting ecommerce businesses

Telstra has been blamed for an outage at the ANZ bank yesterday that left ecommerce businesses unable to process online payments through Securepay’s payments gateway.
A spokeswoman for the ANZ confirmed the system outage in response to an eCommerce Report enquiry.
She said that ANZ was one of a number of Telstra customers affected by a communications issue.

ANZ Bank 3 hour system-outage hits online merchants hardest

Both online and offline businesses right across Australia on Tuesday 11th August  were hit by a complete failure of the ANZ bank’s card processing system.
